HOP The Movie
When Phil Cruden, owner and Creative Director of Go For Launch Productions and Go For Launch Games, began his career making animated feature films in 1995, he worked for 20th Century Fox on their feature films Anastasia and Titan A. E. It was there that Phil worked with and formed a lasting friendship with Chris Meledandri (Producer of Despicable Me, the entire Ice Age Series, HOP, The Lorax, Horton Hears A Who and many more). When the team on HOP: The Movie needed help creating E.B.'s magical Candy Making Factory, Chris recommended Phil Cruden and Go For Launch Productions.
Wanting the factory to be every child's "fantasy vacation destination" was the inspiration behind the designs and the principle that guided the somewhat practical nature of the designs. Phil wanted it to look magical but also like "somewhere kids could imagine visiting to actually see the candy being made!"
I don't know about you but watching this film certainly makes us want to eat candy!
